Wren is a beautiful cow! She's mini-mid at 43" tall. She's 50% Belted Galloway, 50% Jersey. She's very friendly and has even snuggled with me.
Bred back first try via AI, bred first time at 15 months old with live coverage, first exposed cycle. She's a fertile and healthy girl!
Wren delivered her first calf on August 25 at 7:39pm. An adorable little bull calf. He's 75% mini-mid Jersey (registered), 25% mini-mid Belted Galloway. He should net to around 44" tall, and make a fabulous homestead bull; being the perfect combination of quality, creamy dairy and tender, lean beef breeds.
We are not milking Wren. We tried, and she was not impressed. We are already milking a different cow and don't have the availability to push the issue and get her milking trained.
